The sender and receiver both should have the Zerodha Demat account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For gifting the stocks you should have the Zerodha Demat account and If you don&#8217;t have an account, then you can open an online account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: revert;\">If you\u2019re interested to open your DEMAT Account with Zerodha,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/get\/zerodha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here is the Direct Account opening link<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the account is activated, then you purchase the stocks and once it\u2019s on holdings, then you can gift the stocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are steps on how to give gifts to your loved one &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>STEP 1: <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Log in to your <a href=\"https:\/\/kite.zerodha.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zerodha Kite<\/a> Application and enter your login credentials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then on the top right, you will see the <strong>console <\/strong>on the drop-down, then select it.
