Evernorth\u2019s move joins a wave of firms aiming to stockpile cryptocurrencies to strengthen their balance sheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Much of this shift can be traced back to Michael Saylor\u2019s company, which famously adopted Bitcoin as a primary treasury reserve asset. That position has since grown to nearly 650,000 BTC, now worth tens of billions of dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, however, the focus is expanding beyond Bitcoin. Corporates are exploring assets like Ether, Solana, and Ethena, looking for tokens that blend liquidity with growth potential. Deng Chao, CEO of HashKey Capital, pointed out that traditional finance still views digital asset treasury strategies with skepticism. \u201cIt remains a major barrier to wider adoption,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin treasury firm Nakamoto, was even more blunt. He criticized the recent wave of altcoin-linked treasuries, saying many lack clear direction. \u201cToxic financing, failed altcoins rebranded as DATs&nbsp; it\u2019s totally muddled the narrative,\u201d Bailey noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, as I see it, innovation always starts with uncertainty.
