This short delay allows brokers and trading firms to manage their positions and funding throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With instant settlement, however, trades do need to be fully funded before they occur. Large trading firms often rely on flexibility during the trading day to balance positions and manage liquidity.
