Marvel fans are so dedicated and quick in action that a single photo has shaken the entire fandom again. Everyone is busy creating their own theories around the grainy picture of an armour figure under a green hood of Robert Downey Jr., as Victor Von Doom has surfaced on the internet.
Fans are insisting that this is the rumored first on-set shot of RDJ. But the real question is: Is it even real or just another fake AI-generated image built to create confusion? Read on to know the truth behind the ‘leaked image’.
How did the ‘leak’ happen?
According to several reports, the image first appeared on X, posted on a fan account, and was presented as an exclusive behind-the-scenes from the set of Avengers: Doomsday.
There was no caption explaining the source or the background story and there was zero details about the set. It was simply posted as a production still and just because the suit looked believable the internet rushed towards reposting it and sharing all across.
Bigger fandom pages reposted it with the caption “First look at RDJ as Doom!?” and the image spread so fast that it reached the mainstream media pages.
Soon after the image went viral, a few MCU fans started noticing the inconsistency of the image which didn’t look like a genuine photo: the odd lighting didn’t match the surroundings, blurred metal edges, the hood and the cape looked way too smooth, there was no set, no crew and no mention of the location.
Kode Abdo, a digital artist known for his famous work on the tiles like Avengers: Endgame, The Book of Boba Fett, and Alladin, took a look at the image and quoted “You got the mask and hoodie wrong tho”
Later the person who first uploaded the image confessed that it was an AI-generated image, not a real set photo and not connected to Marvel Studios in any way.

So What’s Real and What’s Fake?
The only real and true thing here is that RDJ is playing Dr. Doom and Avengers:Doomsday is in active production. There has been no revelation of the design of the suit of Dr. Doom yet. So, the viral image was just a fake leak image generated by AI tools.
The expectations of the fans with the upcoming movie is so high that every fake photo or leaks take over the internet instantly. And it’s justified because Dr. Doom is one of those powerful villains who holds the power to reshape the storyline of the entire Marvel Universe.
RDJ’s actual look as Doctor Doom will come eventually and soon as an official post by Marvel since the movie is just one year away. It’s almost the time for spoilers and teasers now! The movie will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
