The Malayalam actress Meera Vasudevan is back in the spotlight yet again after announcing her third divorce with cinematographer Vipin Puthiyankam. On her official Instagram handle, she confirmed that she has been single since August 2025.
Who is Meera Vasudevan?
Meera Vasudevan, an origin of the Malayalam industry is known for her versatility for working across the Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema. Her fanbase in Kerala is of extreme significance after starring opposite Mohanlal in Thanmathra.
Meera Vasudevan was born into a Tamil family in Mumbai. She has a younger sister Ashwini, who gained recognition and fame being a child artist with her appearance in Jaanam Samjha Karo, the Salman Khan–starrer.
She did her bachelor’s degree in arts, with Psychology and English Literature. Late, Meera stepped into the modelling industry where she found success and appeared in numerous films. She proved her breakthrough through the popular ICC Set Max campaign that paved her way too many opportunities.
Meera won several prestigious awards like the Kerala State Television Award for Best Actress in 2007 and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize in 2005. She is widely celebrated for her portrayal of Sumithra in the hit Malayalam serial Kudumbavilakku on Asianet. She currently appears in Zed Keralam as Sujatha in Madhuranombarakattu.

Meera Vasudevan’s Married Life
Meera Vasudevan’s married life has seen multiple chapters. Before marrying Vipin, she was married to actor John Kokken. The couple was together from 2012 to 2016 and share a son, Ariha John. Prior to John, Meera was married to Vishal Agarwal from 2005 to 2010.
Meera’s marriage to Vipin Puthiyankam, her third marriage ended in just a year of them tying the knot. The two had met on the sets of Kudumbavilakku, where what began as a strictly professional collaboration gradually blossomed into a romantic relationship. They married in May last year in Coimbatore on May 24, 2024.
Meera took to her Instagram account to post a happy selfie of herself dressed in a maroon saree with her hair left loose. Posting it while turning off the comments, she wrote, “I, Actress Meera Vasudevan, aka @officialmeeravasudevan, officially declare that I am now single since Aug 2025. Following her announcement of the separation, Meera removed all photos and videos featuring Vipin from her social media platforms, including their wedding pictures.
