Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have pressed the sell button on Indian equities, amid the ongoing global economic concerns in the past year. However, the Indian market has been able to outperform its peers amid robust domestic macros.
In contrast to the trend, here are three stocks in which FIIs have turned buyers or have increased their stake:
Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd.
FIIs increased their stake in Kalyan Jewellers from 2.75% in the September quarter to a whopping 28.72% in the December quarter. Its shares closed at ₹ 116.35 apiece on Wednesday and it is a mid-cap company with a market capitalization of ₹ 12,247 crores.
Kalyan Jewellers is one of the largest jewelry brands in India. It designs, manufactures and sells a range of gold, studded and other jewelry products across various price points.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL)
FIIs increased their stake in BHEL from 4.81% in the September quarter to 8.48% in the December quarter. Its shares closed at ₹ 76.70 apiece on Wednesday and it is a mid-cap company with a market capitalization of ₹ 27,352 crores.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) is the flagship engineering and manufacturing company of India owned and is controlled by the Government of India. It provides products and services for the core sectors of the economy.
