*Cancer-focused healthcare app Karkinos raises $1 mn from Endiya Partners Mumbai, Jan 17 (PTI) Karkinos Healthcare has raised USD 1 million (about Rs 7.4 crore) from venture capital fund Endiya Partners, which invests in technology, healthcare and life-sciences.
The fund will be used to strengthen the technology platform and expand the distributed cancer care network, the startup said on Monday.
The company is backed by the Tata Group, Reliance Digital Health and Rakuten Medical, along with a number of eminent industrialists such as Ratan Tata and Venu Srinivasan.
Karkinos was co-founded by the ex-CEO of Tata Trusts R Venkataramanan and started its operations in Kerala. It is looking to expand to Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Bengal. It has set up a Center for Advanced Cancer Diagnostics in Kochi.
*** *Fashion startup Cloud Tailor raises $1 mn from 35North Ventures, Mergerdomo Cloud Tailor, a D2C platform that enables personalized women’s fashion, has raised USD 1 million (about Rs 7.4 crore) from 35North Ventures and Mergerdomo.
Two of Cloud Tailor’s existing HNI customers (Neema Rani from the US and Nirupa Reddy from Hyderabad) also participated in the pre series A funding round. The raised funds will be allocated towards expansion of personalised fashion fulfilment centres across eight cities, the platform said on Monday.

The company has installed over 8,500 solar pumps since the scheme was launched a few years ago. Dinesh Patidar, Chairman and Managing Director of Shakti Pumps, said the company has installed more than 8,500 solar submersible pumps in 7.5 HP and 10 HP categories across the state and the work order for the supplies of 3 to 10 HP surface solar pumps is in process.

According to the chairman of AICTE Anil D Sahasrabudhe, the happiness app will provide an elevated learning opportunity to over 7 million students that AICTE governs. It will also give each of these students an opportunity to mine and earn happiness NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) on the YOL platform.
