TCS missed expectations, while Infosys delivered a shocker.&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2182845364\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>Both companies missed analyst estimates in the quarterly profit as they cut-down spending on technology to prepare for a cooling economy following turmoil in the US Banking Sector. However, Infosys not only missed expectations, but also said that it expects constant currency revenue growth of 4-7 percent, which is lower than the 6-8 percent estimate.&nbsp;<\/p><p>In the past year, the share price of TCS has fallen by 9.83%, while that of Infosys has fallen by 19.40%, against a 4.14% rise in the benchmark Nifty 50 and a 0.59% increase in the Nifty IT index.&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-revenue\"><strong>Revenue<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4><p><strong>TCS: <\/strong>On a consolidated basis, <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/TCS\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>TCS<\/strong><\/a> posted revenue from operations of \u20b9 59,162 crores for the January to March quarter (Q4FY23) of financial year 2022-23, against 50,591 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year (Q4FY22), indicating an increase of 16.94%.\u00a0<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-4194707147\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>It reported a revenue of \u20b9 2,25,458 crores for the year ended March 31, 2023, against \u20b9 1,91,754 crores for the year ended March 31, 2022, indicating a rise of 17.58%.&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/INFY\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Infosys<\/a>: <\/strong>The company reported revenue from operations of \u20b9 37,441 crores for the January to March quarter of financial year 2022-23, against crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, indicating an increase of 16.0%.\u00a0<\/p><p>It reported a revenue of \u20b9 146,767 crores for the year ended March 31, 2023, against \u20b9 12,1,641 crores for the year ended March 31, 2022, indicating a growth of 20.66%.&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Profit<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4><p><strong>TCS: <\/strong>The Tata Group company reported a profit of \u20b9 11,436 crores in Q4FY23 against \u20b9 9,959 crores reported in Q4FY22, indicating an increase of 14.83%.&nbsp;<\/p><p>It reported a profit of \u20b9 42,303 crores for the year ended March 31, 2023, against \u20b9 38,449 crores for the year ended March 31, 2022, indicating an increase of 10.02%.&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Infosys: <\/strong>Infosys reported a profit of \u20b9 6,134 crores in Q4FY23 against \u20b9 5,695 crores reported in Q4FY22, indicating an increase of 7.71%.&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-2201929698\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>It reported a profit of \u20b9 24,108 crores for the year ended March 31, 2023, against \u20b9 22,146 crores for the year ended March 31, 2022, indicating an increase of 8.86%.&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dividend<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4><p>TCS\u2019s board has approved a final dividend of \u20b9 24 per equity share. Its shares closed at \u20b9 3130.60 apiece on Tuesday. On the other hand, Infosys announced a dividend of \u20b9 17.50 per share and its shares closed at \u20b9 1,259.00 apiece on Tuesday.&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Target<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4><p><strong>TCS: <\/strong>ICICI Direct has a buy call on the shares of TCS with a target price of \u20b9 3,720.00, which translates to an upside of 18.83% as compared to its share price of \u20b9 3130.6. The brokerage is positive on the stock because of strong organic growth, consistent financials, industry leading margins and a healthy capital allocation policy.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Infosys: <\/strong>Motilal Oswal Financial Services has a buy call on the shares of Infosys with a target price of \u20b9 1520.00 which translates to an upside of 20.73% as compared to its current share price of \u20b9 1,259.00. The brokerage said that the company posted a weak set of earnings in the latest quarter on account of a weak macroeconomic environment.
