We\u2019re aiming to make India a global hub for production, utilisation and export of green hydrogen,&#8221; Sitharaman said, as per an HSBC release.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-3877750277\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>HSBC India has partnered with IIT Bombay and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF) to pursue technological advancements to make green hydrogen more efficient, cost-effective, and scalable.<\/p><p>These two partnerships, with total grant support of Rs 15 crores (about USD 2 million), will focus on innovation projects that will help prioritise green hydrogen as a strategic alternate fuel, help in building a robust, green hydrogen economy, and achieve the government\u2019s vision of an energy-independent nation, the release said.<\/p><p>Speaking on the occasion, Group Chairman of HSBC Mark Tucker said: &#8220;We are providing finance to accelerate climate change solutions and building partnerships to drive technological breakthroughs, foster collaboration and support innovation towards enabling a green hydrogen economy.&#8221; Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, of IIT Bombay, said that moving towards sustainable and clean sources of energy is a crucial step in the global fight against climate change.<\/p><p>Green Hydrogen, with its applications across industries including transportation, will occupy a vital space in global energy, Chaudhuri said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-after-content\" id=\"trade-3186129816\"><div id=\"taboola-below-article-thumbnails\"><\/div>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n  window._taboola = window._taboola || [];\r\n  _taboola.push({\r\n    mode: 'alternating-thumbnails-a',\r\n    container: 'taboola-below-article-thumbnails',\r\n    placement: 'Below Article Thumbnails',\r\n    target_type: 'mix'\r\n  });\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n  window._taboola = window._taboola || [];\r\n  _taboola.push({flush: true});\r\n<\/script><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday said the government is aiming to make India a global hub for the production, utilisation and export of green hydrogen.
