href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/POWERGRID\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Power Grid Corporation<\/a><\/strong> for not having the required number of independent directors including one woman on their board in the June quarter. <\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-3991668305\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>&#8220;Company has received notices from National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE on August 21, 2023, regarding non-compliance with the provision&#8230;. for not having a requisite number of Independent Directors (including one woman Independent Director) on the Board of the Company during the quarter ended 30th June 2023 and has imposed a fine of Rs 5,36,900 each by NSE &amp; BSE for such non-compliance,&#8221; a BSE filing said.<\/p><p>In response to the notices, the company in the letter sent on August 22, 2023, has requested NSE &amp; BSE to grant a waiver with regard to non-compliance with the Sebi regulation.<\/p><p>&#8220;The Power Grid, being a Government Company within the meaning of Section 2(45) of the Companies Act, 2013, the power to appoint functional\/ Official Part-time Directors\/non-official Part-time Directors (Independent Directors) vests with the President of India,&#8221; it stated.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-3325481643\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n regularly taken up with the Administrative Ministry i.e. Ministry of Power for filling up the vacant posts of Independent Directors (including one woman Independent Director), it stated.<\/p><div
