Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt both expressed a desire to move the free trade agreement along during a joint press conference.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-3694604474\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>&#8220;There is definitely some discussion on the FTA&#8230;the key on both the sides is to conclude it as soon as possible,&#8221; she said at the conclusion of the 12th India-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue. Hunt appreciated the efforts being made for the direct listing of Indian companies on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).<\/p><p>&#8220;We are particularly pleased to have made a big step forward with the first confirmation by India that it will explore the LSE as an international destination for the direct listing of Indian companies.<\/p><p>&#8220;Alongside that, there is a new Pensions and Insurance Partnership, the establishment of knowledge and expertise-sharing and the new UK Infrastructure Financing Bridge and a deepened partnership on the developmental GIFT City.
