This burden is exacerbated by the company\u2019s extensive bank guarantee (BG) obligations, which collectively exceed Rs 24,700 crore.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Challenges Faced<\/strong><\/h2><p>Vodafone Idea has consistently highlighted its financial difficulties, calling for the government to waive or ease the BG requirement, which it believes would help alleviate some of its financial burdens. By removing the BG obligations, the company argues, banks would be more inclined to extend credit, allowing for crucial financial support that would enable Vodafone Idea to pay off its spectrum fees and improve its liquidity.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Payment Default<\/strong><\/h2><p>The company\u2019s financial woes have recently become more evident after it defaulted on its second BG payment of approximately Rs 350 crore for spectrum obtained in a 2012 auction.
