However, Grasim\u2019s entry could pose a looming threat in the long run.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Challenges for Asian Paints&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2><p>The probable challenge that Asian Paint may face from Grasim Industries(Birla Opus) is their strong dealer network already in place because of their Cement Segment (UltraTech Cement).&nbsp;<\/p><p>Secondly, the entry of a big company like Grasim Industries ensures a heavy budget for marketing campaigns and higher commissions to the dealers and distributors.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Asian Paints Q2 FY25 Performance<\/strong><\/h2><p>Asian Paints reported a sharp 42.4% decline in net profit for Q2 FY25, falling to Rs 694.64 crore compared to the previous year of Rs. 1,232 crore. Production is ramping up at three commissioned plants, with robust month-on-month growth.&nbsp;<\/p><p>The company has placed 129 products with over 900 SKUs in the distribution channel, receiving excellent feedback on product quality from customers, dealers, contractors, and painters. Birla Opus has also launched its comprehensive website and a pilot e-commerce sales initiative.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Expanding its dealer and franchise network, the company has seen good demand from contractors and consumers, leading to an increase in counter share. As of now, the company\u2019s total capex spend stands at ~\u20b98,470 Cr., ~85% of the total project cost&nbsp;<\/p><p>Additionally, Birla Opus has launched a new advertising campaign focused on innovative features and superior product quality across its interior, exterior, and waterproofing paint offerings.
