The duty will be levied for five years, unless altered earlier. Both China and Japan are among the key trading partners of India. The Finance Ministry will impose the duty within three months based on DGTR\u2019s recommendation, which aims to protect the domestic market and ensure fair trade within WTO guidelines as per sources.
