Cost of raw materials such as fly ash, slag and gypsum witnessed an increase of 13 per cent.<\/p><p>During the October-December quarter &#8220;energy and raw material costs were up 33 per cent and 13 per cent YoY, while they remained flat on a sequential basis,&#8221; said the Aditya Birla Group firm in its earning statement.<\/p><p>UltraTech achieved capacity utilisation of 83 per cent as against 75 per cent during Q3FY22.<\/p><p>In Q3\/FY23 UltraTech&#8217;s consolidated sales volume was 25.86 million metric tonnes during the quarter, registering a 12 per cent growth year-on-year.<\/p><p>Updating the capital expenditure, UltraTech said under its first phase of growth launched in December 2020, it has commissioned 5.5 mtpa new capacity during Q3FY23.<\/p><p>&#8220;Work on the second phase of growth of 22.6 mtpa announced during Q1FY23 has already commenced. Main plant orders have been placed and civil work started at most sites.
