Later, the local unit pared the gains and touched an early low of 74.87 against the greenback.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-1205304598\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> In the previous session, the rupee had settled at 74.65 against the greenback.<\/p>\n<p> The dollar index, which gauges the greenback&#8217;s strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading 0.02 per cent higher at 96.55.<\/p>\n<p> On the domestic equity market front, the 30-share Sensex was trading 873.21 points or 1.51 per cent higher at 58,887.38, while the broader NSE Nifty advanced 247.55 points or 1.43 per cent to 17,587.40.<\/p>\n<p> Global oil benchmark Brent crude futures rose 1.31 per cent to USD 91.21 per barrel.<\/p>\n<p> Foreign institutional investors were net sellers in the capital market on Monday, as they offloaded shares worth Rs 3,624.48 crore, as per stock exchange data.
