business unit of a deep-tech company incubated by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) with a view to revolutionising offline retail in the country.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-3917989154\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div>\n<p>        BigBasket, a Tata enterprise, will be implementing Kochi-based startup Agrima Infotech\u2019s unique customer vision technology platform, Psyight, at the self-checkout counters of the former\u2019s retail stores.<\/p>\n<p>        The acquisition was announced by BigBasket CEO Hari Menon on the sidelines of a two-day virtual \u2018Huddle Global 2022\u2019 of KSUM that got underway here on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>        Psyight, created by Anoop Balakrishnan, Arun Ravi and Nikhil Dharman under Agrima Infotech, helps identify all Indian fruits and vegetables uniquely from an image without using barcodes, an official statement said here.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-1674120280\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>        KSUM Chief Executive Officer John M Thomas described the acquisition as a \u201cmilestone\u201d for any Kerala startup. \u201cIt not only reiterates the strength of our startup ecosystem, but shows the great impression firms such as BigBasket have about our startups,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>        \u201cI hope the deal would encourage startups to move ahead strongly in their attempt to scale up their business,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>        Agrima Infotech co-founder and CEO Anoop Balakrishnan said his startup joining hands with BigBasket will redefine the offline shopping experience in the country.<\/p>\n<p>        Agrima Infotech co-founder and COO Arun Ravi said detecting raw food items such as fruits and vegetables uniquely from an image is a complex machine vision problem since the appearance of those items may vary with respect to the location of its origin and seasons.<\/p>\n<p>        \u201cWe have captured thousands of images of each SKU (stock-keeping unit) across the seasons and from different locations to achieve 100 per cent accuracy,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>        Menon, noting that the acquisition brings \u201ca lot of value to our business\u201d, said BigBasket will use this expertise on AI (artificial intelligence) and ML (machine learning) to enrich and enhance a whole lot of technological innovation in the company.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-913185500\"><script async
