That will create required private equity capital as an addition to what exists today,&#8221; Chandrasekhar said at an event conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-3960909112\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> Sitharaman had announced the creation of government-backed funds to encourage important sunrise sectors, such as climate action, deep-tech, digital economy, pharma and agri-tech.<\/p>\n<p> The government has already put in place some of the funds like the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) with an outlay of Rs 945 crore to help start-ups in meeting their capital requirement.<\/p>\n<p> Some states, including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and Rajasthan, have put in place funds to support start-ups.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It&#8217;s a great time to be an entrepreneur. It is a great time to be a start-up.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It is an absolute mission and article of faith for our Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) and our government that the expansion of the start-up ecosystem, funding it, fuelling it, and creating innovations in the start-up ecosystem&#8230;are out there in a post-COVID-19 world in a manner where intellectual properties are created,&#8221; Chandrasekhar said.
