According to the draft offer document filed on February 13, the government will be selling 5% of its stake in India\u2019s biggest life insurance company.<\/p><p>In a recent interview with Hindu Business Line, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman suggested that the emerging global situation may warrant a relook at the IPO timing.<\/p><p>\u201cIdeally, I\u2019d like to go ahead with it because we had planned it for some time based purely on Indian considerations,&#8221; Sitharaman told the newspaper, adding that \u201cif global considerations warrant that I need to look at it, I wouldn\u2019t mind looking at it again&#8221;.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-826517785\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>&#8220;The process for it is already on and we are prepared to go ahead but when a war of this magnitude is happening, a review is certainly required,&#8221; a top government official said.<\/p><p>The issue price is yet to be decided, however, some estimates peg the offered size at about \u20b963,000 crores. A major concern is that such a big sale may be difficult in the current volatile market.<\/p><p>Foreign investors have been selling heavily and the Sensex is down by nearly 10% from its mid-January peak of over 61,000.
