There is a lot of uncertainties with Russian suppliers and bankers at present,\u201d Narendran said on the sidelines of CII eastern region\u2019s annual meeting here.<\/p>\n<p>        The steelmaker used to buy 10-15 per cent of its coal requirements from Russia for use in pulverised coal injection, he said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-3638528908\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>        Pulverised coal injection (PCI) is a process that involves injecting large volumes of fine coal particles into a blast furnace.<\/p>\n<p>        &#8220;For our Europe operations, we have to buy more from North America and India buys coal mostly from Australia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>        The 45-million tonne supply vacuum left by Russia and Ukraine also opened up export opportunities for Indian steel producers, resulting in spot prices going up by EUR 1,000, Narendran said.<\/p>\n<p>        Tata Steel will look at exporting more to southern Europe, as compared to Asian markets, from India for better margins, he said.<\/p>\n<p>        Exports from Tata Steel Europe could cross one million tonne in 2022-23 fiscal, while Indian operations could ship out around 15 per cent of its output, the official indicated.<\/p>\n<p>        The geopolitical crisis has spurred input costs but in the short run with its inventory, the company\u2019s margins will improve as the price increase is higher than the rise of raw material costs, Narendran said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-3512084544\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>        If the conflict prolongs for  the next couple of months, the increase in cost will start hitting everyone, he added.
