{"id":30085,"date":"2022-03-19T17:17:02","date_gmt":"2022-03-19T11:47:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/biz-smartr-logistics\/"},"modified":"2022-03-19T17:17:02","modified_gmt":"2022-03-19T11:47:02","slug":"biz-smartr-logistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/biz-smartr-logistics\/","title":{"rendered":"Smartr Logistics plans to enter third-party logistics biz; to set up 15 fulfillment centres"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"trade-content_2\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-1548389167\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/get\/telegram\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-101992\" src=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/telegram-channel-300x119.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"148\" height=\"59\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/news.google.com\/publications\/CAAqBwgKMN3Epgswxc--Aw?hl=en-IN&amp;gl=IN&amp;ceid=IN%3Aen\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-123430\" src=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news-300x82.png\" alt=\"follow-on-google-news\" width=\"222\" height=\"61\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news-300x82.png 300w, https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news-150x41.png 150w, https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news.png 468w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 222px) 100vw, 222px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><p> Mumbai, Mar 19 (PTI) Smartr Logistics is looking to enter into the fast-growing third-party logistics (3PL) business from next year and plans to set up 15 fulfillment centres as well as some big warehousing facilities at select locations, company&#8217;s MD and CEO, Yogesh Dhingra has said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-743259283\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div>\n<p> Launched last year, the logistics tech-startup also plans to expand its presence to over 250 cities and 6,000 PIN codes by this year-end.<\/p>\n<p> It currently has presence across 50 cities in the country along with 75 service centres.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Early next year we will be entering into the 3PL business with warehousing facilities and fulfilment centres among others to provide end-to-end service to the end-customer,&#8221; Dhingra told PTI.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-4013803764\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> He said under the 3PL business, the company will be doing storage, billing, packaging and delivery to the customer, adding, &#8220;we are trying to figure out various kinds of business where we can get into and fulfill the logistics needs of the customers.&#8221; \t Dhingra said that the company will set up close 15 fulfillment centres and some big warehouses at different locations in the country to cater to the third-party logistics requirements.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;By June-end, we are looking to have more than 3,500 PIN codes and close to about 100 cities and by December this year about 250 cities with more than 6,000 pincodes,&#8221; he said, adding that Smartr Logistics will be launching its Ground Express product from the second quarter of the forthcoming fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p> Dhingra said that the company is looking at business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (D2C), which is growing very fast, B2C BFSI and Business-to-business (B2B) Express movement for critical shipments as the segments are driving growth going forward.<\/p>\n<p> Dhingra said as much as 50 per cent of the market is premium, while the remaining half is semi-premium or low cost. He said that the company offers a premium product with premium pricing and another product for the low-cost segment to cover both the markets.<\/p>\n<p> He said that the company has tied-up with airlines as there is some 15,000 tons of belly space available for faster cargo transportation and using that to the optimum level is a win-win for both the airlines and customers.<\/p>\n<p> Dhingra said as more airports come up under the government&#8217;s regional air connectivity scheme, UDAAN, it is expected to help the entire e-commerce and logistics business.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-658217745\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> &#8220;India will possibly become a hub for the Asia Pacific.
