In FY 2020-21 White Teak&#8217;s turnover was at Rs 37.66 crore.<\/p>\n<p> Asian Paints said it will acquire a majority 51 per cent stake in Weatherseal Fenestration, a company engaged in the business of interior decoration\/furnishing, including manufacturing uPVC Windows and door systems, for a consideration of Rs 19 crore.<\/p>\n<p> The leading paint maker has entered into definitive agreements with the promoters of Weatherseal Fenestration &#8211; Harish Munireddy and Pratibha SB- for an infusion of Rs 19 crores for a 51 per cent stake by subscription to the equity share capital of the company.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It is also agreed to acquire an additional 23.9 per cent stake in Weatherseal Fenestration from its promoters, in a staggered manner, over the next 3 years,&#8221; it said.<\/p>\n<p> Munireddy would continue to be the CEO and Pratibha SB as COO at Weatherseal Fenestration, leading further credence to this association with Asian Paints, the statement said, adding that post-acquisition, Weatherseal Fenestration will be a subsidiary of the company.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-545742856\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> &#8220;Weatherseal is one of the leading brands in uPVC Windows and Doors space and has established a reputable presence in the retail and project customer segment, primarily in South India. As part of our endeavour to be an integral part of the home d\u00e9cor business, we find this space attractive in the retail and B2B market segment. This association will enable us to widen our offerings in the home d\u00e9cor space,&#8221; Asian Paints MD &#038; CEO Amit Syngle said.<\/p>\n<p> The size of the current market is more than Rs 11,000 crore and the market share of organised players is about 40 per cent.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Therefore, the potential to innovate and enter this market is immense,&#8221; said Asian Paints.<\/p>\n<p> Asian Paints is a leading domestic paint company and ranked among the top ten decorative coatings companies in the world with a consolidated turnover of Rs 21,712.79 crore.<\/p>\n<p> The Mumbai-based company has operations in 15 countries across the world through its subsidiaries.
