Looking into these figures, it might seem that Tata Motors is heading toward creating a monopoly in Electric Vehicles in India.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2530438605\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>Looking into the figures, the company recorded the highest-ever annual sales of 3,70,372 units in the PV Domestic section, up 67% over FY20-21. In March 2022, the total domestic sales of Tata Motors increased 30% to 86,718 units from 66,462 units in Mar\u201921. Its commercial vehicle sales increased from 40,462 units in March 2021 to 47,050 units in March 2022.<\/p><p>Looking into the Passenger vehicle EV sales figures, the company\u2019s EV sales touched 19,106 units in FY21\u201322, a growth of 353% from a total PV EV sales of 4,216 in FY20-21. In March 22, Tata Motors sold 3,357 PV EV cars, compared to 705 sales in March 2021. Tata Motors ended the financial year with the highest-ever monthly sales of 42,293 units as of total PV Domestic sales in March 2022.<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Tata-Motors-EV-Monopoly-1024x1021.png\" alt=\"Tata Motors EV Monopoly\" class=\"wp-image-33315\" width=\"741\" height=\"739\"\/><\/figure><\/div><p>Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, \u201cTata Motors set several new records in a challenging year, disrupted by two waves of Covid, semi-conductor crisis and steep increase in commodity prices. Quarterly sales of EVs were highest at 9,095 units, a growth of 432% vs Q4FY21, and EV sales for March\u201922 were also the highest at 3,357 units, a growth of 377% vs Mar\u201921. Going forward, the semi-conductor situation remains uncertain.
