Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board,&#8221; Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal tweeted on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p> He said Musk is both a passionate believer and intense critic of the service, which is required on Twitter and in the boardroom, to make the entity stronger in the long-term.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Looking forward to working with Parag &#038; Twitter board to make significant improvements to Twitter in the coming months!&#8221; Musk replied to Agrawal&#8217;s tweet.<\/p>\n<p> Interestingly, Musk last month had tweeted about the role of the social media firm in adhering to the principles of free speech.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy,&#8221; Musk said on March 25 while retweeting a survey floated by him on whether &#8220;Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p> Over 70 per cent of the respondents voted against Twitter.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-2029697514\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> He further said the consequences of the poll will be important, adding he was exploring if a new platform is required.<\/p>\n<p> Several verified Twitter accounts also asked Musk to buy the microblogging platform.
