However, we saw that its share price increased by 8% on Monday\u2019s opening deals, after the company reported healthy March quarter profits. <\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-1373221299\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>The company said that its FMCG business was recovering well. There was a boost in investor confidence, as far as the counter is concerned.<\/p><p>DMart reported a 3.14% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit at \u20b9 427 crores, as compared to \u20b9 414 crores in the same quarter last year. Its consolidated revenue rose 18.53% YoY to \u20b9 8,786 crores in the March quarter compared to\u00a0 \u20b9 7,412 crores in the corresponding quarter last year.<\/p><p>On a standalone basis, it reported a 17.8% increase in revenues, year-on-year. Its gross margin fell 5 basis points to 14.3%, however its EBITDA margin (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) rose 18 basis points to 8.6%, on the back of efficient cost control. One basis point is 0.01%.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-506817057\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>The stock is trading at 3554.45 levels. It has declined as much as 39.76% from its 52-week high of \u20b9 5900 apiece.&nbsp; In fact, the shares were enjoying high levels of share prices for a while. Now that the valuations are comparatively low, a few brokerages have suggested an upside on the stock.<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-icici-securities\"><strong>ICICI Securities<\/strong><\/h4><p>&nbsp;\u201cA broad-based market correction (and possibly some technical factors) does bring rationality to buy-at-any-price stories.&#8221; The report added, \u201cIn FY22-24E, we believe it has value and volume tailwinds: inflation (higher absolute gross profit per unit, operating leverage) and likely higher footfalls as more number of consumers prioritise value,&#8221; the brokerage said in a note.<\/p><p>ICICI Securities upgraded the stock from sell to \u2018Buy\u2019. It suggested a target of \u20b9 3,900 apiece on the back of broad-based market correction and possibly some technical factors that indicated BAAP (Buy-At-Any-Price).<\/p><p>&#8220;Furthermore, we believe it will look to accelerate store expansion and the benefit of recent expansion is yet to fully kick in \u2013 revenue intensity is lower than pre-Covid levels. At 61 times FY24 P\/E, we find valuations palatable,&#8221; the brokerage said.<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Motilal Oswal<\/strong><\/h4><p>Motilal Oswal has recommended a \u2018Neutral\u2019 rating on the shares of Avenue Supermarts with a target price of \u20b9 3500 in its research report dated May 15, 2022. It believes that though the stock has corrected more than 35% from its peak, its valuations remain expensive.<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Yes Securities<\/strong><\/h4><p>The brokerage has suggested a \u2018buy\u2019 in this stock with a target price of \u20b9 4165 in the stock amid a steep correction in the stock. This implies an upside of 16.05% as the stock is currently trading at \u20b9 3589.00 levels.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-969784802\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>JM Financial<\/strong><\/h4><p>JM Financial Institutional Securities Ltd has upgraded its rating on DMart from hold to \u2018buy\u2019, \u201cafter two years to take advantage of the recent steep price correction.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p><p>\u201cAverage revenue per store for the March quarter has grown at just 2% CAGR versus March 2019 quarter\u2019s undisturbed pre-pandemic level. DMart had compounded per-store revenue by 8.8% p.a. on an average (FY17-20) prior to the pandemic,&#8221; it added.<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Edelweiss<\/strong><\/h4><p>Edelweiss has upped DMart\u2019s rating from \u2018Reduce\u2019 to \u2018Buy\u2019 as the recent stock correction has brought its valuation in sync with the current business situation.<\/p><p>&#8220;Future valuation drivers would be SSSG performance \u2013 at risk, if any, from online grocery \u2013 and scale-up of DMart Ready.
