Jateen Trivedi, Senior Research Analyst at LKP Securities, said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-1896600776\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> The dollar, euro, crude have all faced high volatility since a week now, as the new Omicron strain on COVID-19 has raised concerns. &#8220;Rupee can be weak till the time it trades below 74.85,&#8221; Trivedi said.<\/p>\n<p> According to Sriram Iyer, Senior Research Analyst at Reliance Securities, the Indian rupee depreciated against the US dollar on Tuesday in a volatile trading session after Moderna CEO warned that existing COVID-19 vaccines would be less effective against the Omicron variant.<\/p>\n<p> The rupee has been under pressure over the last 2 or 3 trading sessions as the detection of a new coronavirus variant re-ignited growth concerns and hurt risk appetite.<\/p>\n<p> The dollar index, which gauges the greenback&#8217;s strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading 0.68 per cent down at 95.69.<\/p>\n<p> Meanwhile, Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, declined 2.85 per cent to USD 71.35 per barrel.<\/p>\n<p> On the domestic equity market front, the BSE Sensex ended 195.71 points or 0.34 per cent lower at 57,064.87, while the broader NSE Nifty declined 70.75 points or 0.41 per cent to 16,983.20.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-1934318999\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> Foreign institutional investors were net sellers in the capital market on Monday, as they offloaded shares worth Rs 3,332.21 crore, according to exchange data.
