In his FIR, Meerut-based Yogendra Kumar Chaudhary alleged that he was defrauded of Rs 1.84 crore on the pretext of huge returns from crypto trading, the police said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-782542004\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;During the investigation, the money was found to have been transacted into 19 bank accounts and one payment aggregator. After analysing the data, the role of Bhuleshwarnath Mishra (59) came to light and he was arrested,&#8221; the police said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The suspect lives in Hiranandani Heritage in Kandiwali East, Mumbai. He informed the investigation team that he worked on commission for a Singapore-based foreigner who claimed to be a crypto trading advisor,&#8221; the police added.<\/p>\n<p>Mishra&#8217;s role was to transfer the money from his bank account to Binance Crypto Exchange and convert it into USDT (Tether) &#8212; a popular stablecoin used by crypto enthusiasts for years to leverage their trades &#8212; so that the funds could become accessible to his Singapore-based associate.<\/p>\n<p>The website used to dupe the complainant was www.gicsingapore.com. The operators provided small profits on Mishra&#8217;s initial few investments, Noida Cyber Crime police station in-charge Reeta Yadav said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They first lured him by showing profits on his crypto trading account on the website and he realised the fraud only after having invested Rs 1,84,70,000,&#8221; Yadav said.<\/p>\n<p>While further investigation is underway, the police have cautioned the public to be careful during online transactions and use the dedicated helpline number 1930 to report any cyber offence.
