The insurance behemoth also referred to as a Domestic Institutional Investor (DII) said that it has acquired Voltas&#8217; shares worth \u20b9 634.50 crores through open market transactions during the period from August 10, 2022, to\u00a0November 4, 2022.\u00a0<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2895083481\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>Voltas Limited is engaged in the business of air conditioning, refrigeration, and electro-mechanical projects as an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor. It caters to the domestic as well as international market.\u00a0<\/p><p>According to regulatory filings, the state-owned life insurer has increased its shareholding from 2,27,04,306 shares (equivalent to 6.862 per cent) to 2,93,95,224 (8.884 per cent) in Voltas.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Earlier last week, the Tata Group company reported muted September quarter earnings for the financial year 2022-23 (Q2FY23). Its consolidated revenue came in at \u20b9 1770 crore, up 4 per cent year-on-year (YoY), while its gross margin contracted by 220 basis points YoY to 24.4 per cent mainly due to commodity cost pressures.\u00a0<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-1572521730\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>Further, the company incurred a one-off loss of \u20b9 100 crore due to the unilateral termination of an overseas project by the contractor and the encashment of an underlying bank guarantee for the same.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/VOLTAS\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Voltas\u2019 shares<\/a><\/strong> were trading at \u20b9 826.20 apiece on Wednesday. The company has a market capitalization of \u20b9 27,682 crores and is a large-cap company. It has an ideal debt-to-equity ratio of 0.07.
