{"id":82729,"date":"2023-01-11T15:43:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T10:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/?p=82729"},"modified":"2023-01-11T15:40:48","modified_gmt":"2023-01-11T10:10:48","slug":"biz-comm-loan-origination-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/biz-comm-loan-origination-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Commercial loan origination volumes decline 4.3% in FY22; avg ticket sizes jump: Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"trade-content_2\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2794518768\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/get\/telegram\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-101992\" src=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/telegram-channel-300x119.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"148\" height=\"59\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/news.google.com\/publications\/CAAqBwgKMN3Epgswxc--Aw?hl=en-IN&amp;gl=IN&amp;ceid=IN%3Aen\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-123430\" src=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news-300x82.png\" alt=\"follow-on-google-news\" width=\"222\" height=\"61\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news-300x82.png 300w, https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news-150x41.png 150w, https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/features\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/follow-on-google-news.png 468w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 222px) 100vw, 222px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><p>Commercial lending origination volumes declined by 4.3 per cent to 22.2 lakh loans in the COVID-affected FY22, a credit information company said on Wednesday.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2643657689\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>If one has to look at the originations by value, there was a 73 per cent jump to Rs 66.49 lakh crore, while the portfolio outstanding at the end of the fiscal grew 8.5 per cent, the report by Crif High Mark said.<\/p><p>The average ticket sizes for commercial loans across lenders witnessed a huge spike during the year, with state-owned lenders reporting the number at Rs 3.34 crore in FY22 against Rs 1.65 crore, and that of private banks stood at Rs 3.30 crore compared to Rs 1.85 crore.<\/p><p>Commercial lending includes a credit of over Rs 10 lakh to any commercial entity and is further classified as micro, small, medium or large exposures.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-2863062839\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>From a loan stress perspective, there was a decline in the portfolio at risk of loans unpaid for over 90 days in the commercial lending segment, the report said.<\/p><p>The stress levels across loan segments, gauged through the portfolio at risk which is unpaid, showed an improvement during the fiscal, it added.<\/p><p>It can be noted that this is in line with a major shift in banks&#8217; asset quality reported by the RBI and other agencies.<\/p><p>In the home loan segment, there was a 13.3 per cent increase in the portfolio outstanding to Rs 25.5 lakh crore in FY22, with the share of ones unpaid for between 91-180 days halving to 0.3 per cent.<\/p><p>The closely watched segment witnessed a 29 per cent growth in originations by value to Rs 7.35 lakh crore, while by volumes, it was up 20 per cent to 24 lakh loans.<\/p><p>The housing finance sector was able to post the growth despite a 50 per cent drop in originations by value in the COVID-19 second wave affected the first quarter of the year, the report said, adding that there was a recovery in originations from the second quarter onwards.
