This will bring\u00a0consumers convenience like they&#8217;ve never had before,&#8221; he said.\u00a0  \tThe feature is slated to be rolled out in 2022. Jio Platforms Director Isha Ambani noted that the feature will make the process of recharging simple, especially for older\u00a0citizens who at times may find it difficult to head outside.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It is really exciting how the end-to-end experience for Recharge through\u00a0WhatsApp along with the ability to make payments can potentially make the\u00a0lives of millions of Jio subscribers much more convenient,&#8221; she said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-2523092162\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p> Reliance Jio had\u00a0429.5 million users at the end of September 2021 quarter.\u00a0 In April 2020, Meta (Facebook at that time) had\u00a0announced an investment of USD 5.7 billion ( Rs 43,574 crore) in Jio Platforms.<\/p>\n<p> The companies had also talked about\u00a0creating a better shopping and commerce experience in India working with JioMart by leveraging WhatsApp&#8217;s communication and payments platform.<\/p>\n<p> On Wednesday, Akash Ambani said there are\u00a0currently over half a million retailers on JioMart and the number is growing.\u00a0  \t &#8220;We continue to be so excited about our partnership with Meta and in\u00a0collaboration with the WhatsApp team, we intend to build out native features\u00a0 that will not only help users shop seamlessly on WhatsApp but will also help\u00a0retailers increase stock assortments, improve margins and get them closer to\u00a0 perhaps a larger base of customers, like never before,&#8221; he added.\u00a0  \t Meta Chief Business Officer Marne Levine said India is rapidly becoming a global hub for innovation, leading the way and\u00a0 setting an example for so many other countries to follow &#8211; especially in a post- pandemic world.\u00a0  \t &#8220;Our goal as a company has always been to enable new opportunities for\u00a0businesses of all sizes, especially for the more than 63 million small businesses\u00a0 across India.
