Currently, it operates in five businesses FMCG cigarettes, FMCG others, hotels, paperboards, paper and packaging, and agribusiness.&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-4046663628\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>The company\u2019s shares have been on an uptrend and have gained 72.66% in the past year, as their share price increased from \u20b9 222.75 to \u20b9 384.55 apiece.&nbsp;<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/ITC\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ITC\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> management said that volume stability in taxes on cigarettes backed by deterrent actions by enforcement agencies continued to enable volume recovery for the legal cigarette industry from illicit trade leading to higher demand for Indian tobacco.\u00a0<\/p><p>In the October to December quarter, ITC Limited reported a net profit of \u20b9 5070.09 crores, up 23.09% as against \u20b9 4118.80 crores reported in the same quarter last year. The company\u2019s revenue increased by 3.57% to \u20b9 19,020.65 crores in the latest quarter from \u20b9 18365.8 crores. Brokerages see an upside of up to 17% on the shares of ITC&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-722045816\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-icici-securities\"><strong>ICICI Securities&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4><p>The brokerage believes that the cigarette segment is witnessing a strong 20-25% growth. Stable taxation over the last five years has led to volume recovery, specifically in the post-Covid period. It changed the FMCG major\u2019s volume growth estimate from 13 per cent to 17 per cent in FY23E.&nbsp;<\/p><p>ICICI Securities added that ITC also benefited from strong growth in hotels, paperboard &amp; FMCG businesses with significant improvement in margins due to strong hotel occupancies, higher pricing growth in paperboard &amp; operating leverage in FMCG business. It has maintained a buy rating on the shares with a target price of \u20b9 450 per share. This translates to an upside of 17.02% as compared to its current share price of \u20b9 384.55.&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>JM Financial&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4><p>JM Financial believes that the government is able to better appreciate the legal industry\u2019s logic that a punitive taxation regime on legal cigarettes alone does not necessarily help control the use of tobacco in the country, but instead leads people to buy cigarettes from illegal channels instead of the tax-paid ones.&nbsp;<\/p><p>The brokerage has a buy call on the shares of ITC with a target price of \u20b9 440. This target implies an upside of 14.42% compared to its current share price.
