Today the country&#8217;s agriculture budget is more than Rs 1.25 lakh crore,&#8221; he said.<\/p><p>He said the government has been working on a mission mode to boost domestic production of pulses and oilseeds. He noted that India spends around Rs 1.5 lakh crore on import of cooking oil.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-4285351742\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>The Prime Minister also highlighted that the Budget focuses on agri-tech startups and an accelerator fund too has been proposed to create new funding avenues for them.<\/p><p>He observed that the number of startups in the agriculture sector has increased to more than 3,000 from almost negligible nine year ago.<\/p><p>Modi also said a new revolution is taking place in the cooperative sector. He further said the cooperative sector, which was only limited to a few states earlier, is now being expanded across the country.<\/p><p>This was the second webinar addressed by the Prime Minister. On Thursday, he had elaborately spoken on the topic of green growth.
