(HAL) and Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) Ltd. to indigenously procure training aircraft and ships for a total value of Rs 9,900 crore.&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2695552562\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>Following the update, the stock of HAL surged by 7% to touch its all-time high of Rs 2,894.30 a piece in the morning\u2019s trading session on Wednesday. This gives a multi-bagger status to the large-cap stock as it has given a 114% return to its shareholders.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Similarly, Larsen and Toubro\u2019s shares also gained marginally following the news. The stock closed at Rs 2,172 on Wednesday, slightly up 1.44% for the day.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Hindustan Aeronautics said in a filing with exchanges, \u201cMinistry of Defence, on March 07, 2023, signed contracts with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/HAL\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hindustan Aeronautics Limited<\/a><\/strong> (HAL) and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/LT\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Larsen &amp; Toubro Limited<\/a><\/strong> (L&amp;T) for procurement of 70 HTT-40 Basic Trainer Aircraft &amp; three Cadet Training Ships respectively\u2026.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-1024735308\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>The contract value for HAL is Rs 6,800 crore while for Larsen and Toubro it is Rs 3,100 crore.&nbsp;<\/p><p>The filing further stated, \u201cThe Cabinet had also cleared signing of contract with L&amp;T for acquisition of three Cadet Training Ships from L&amp;T, worth more than \u20b93,100 crore under Buy {Indian-IDDM (Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured)} category.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p><p>Various important personnel including Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Defence Secretary Shri Giridhar Aramane were present with the representatives of the two companies and key officials from the Ministry of Defence.&nbsp;<\/p><p>These contracts for training ships and aircrafts are one more step towards self-reliance in the defence production sector for India.
