Krithivasan will go through a transition with Rajesh Gopinathan and will be appointed as the Managing Director &amp; CEO in the next financial year,&#8221; the statement said.<\/p><p>During the tenure of Gopinathan as managing director and CEO, TCS gained USD 10 billion in incremental revenues.<\/p><p>TCS Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that Gopinathan provided strong leadership to the company.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-103677814\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>&#8220;Over the last 6 years, Rajesh has provided strong leadership as the MD &amp; CEO and has laid the foundation for the next phase of TCS&#8217; growth with significant investments in cloud, agile and automation to help clients accelerate their transformation. I am deeply appreciative of Rajesh&#8217;s enormous contribution to TCS. I wish him the very best for the future,&#8221; he said.<\/p><p>Gopinathan took the reins of TCS from Chandrasekaran who was elevated to the post of Tata Sons Chairman in February 2017.<\/p><p>&#8220;The last six years of leading this iconic organisation have been most enriching and fulfilling, adding over USD 10 billion in incremental revenues and over USD 70 billion increase in market capitalisation.<\/p><p>&#8220;I have been harbouring a few ideas on what I want to do in the next phase of my life. After deep reflection and in discussion with the Chairman and the Board, we decided that the end of this fiscal year is a good time for me to step aside and pursue those interests,&#8221; Gopinathan said.
