They appreciated to the tune of 9% after the Ministry of Defence on Thursday signed multiple contracts worth over \u20b9 35,000 crores with both state-owned and private companies.&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_7\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-490957037\"><!-- Composite Start --> \r\n <div id=\"M923760ScriptRootC1549812\"> \r\n <\/div> \r\n <script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.mgid.com\/t\/r\/tradebrains.in.1549812.js\" async> \r\n <\/script> \r\n <!-- Composite End --><\/div><p>Some of the top gainers were Bharat Electronics (up 7.54%), Bharat Dynamics (Up 6.08%), Cochin Shipyard (up 8.21%) and Garden Reach Shipbuilders &amp; Engineers (up 8.88%).&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bharat-electronics-ltd\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/BEL\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bharat Electronics Ltd\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/h4><p>The Ministry of Defence signed 10 contracts worth \u20b9 5,498 crores with the company for Indian Armed Forces. In another development, the Ministry signed two contracts worth \u20b9 2696 crores with the company to bolster the defence capabilities of the country.&nbsp;<\/p><p>ICICI Securities has a buy call on the shares of Bharat Electronics with a target price of \u20b9 125, which translates to an upside of 28% as compared to its share price of \u20b9 97.15 apiece.&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-3838154617\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/BDL\/standalone?standalone=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bharat Dynamics Ltd\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/h4><p>The company informed the exchanges that it has received an order worth \u20b9 8,161 crores for weapon systems for the Indian Army. This order is to be executed in three years. Further, it received an order worth \u20b9 261 crores for CMDS for MLH Helicopters. With this, the consolidated order book position of the company has reached a staggering figure of \u20b9 24,021 crores.&nbsp;<\/p><p>ICICI Securities has a buy call on the shares of Bharat Dynamics with a target price of \u20b9 1175, which translates to an upside of 19.57% as compared to its share price of \u20b9 982.70 apiece.&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/COCHINSHIP\/consolidated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cochin Shipyard Ltd<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4><p>The shipbuilder has received an order worth \u20b9 9804.98 crores from the Ministry of Defence for the construction of six vessels. The first vessel is to be delivered in 48 months and the last is to be delivered within 108 months. The company\u2019s shares were trading at \u20b9 479.10 apiece at 01:37 PM.&nbsp;<\/p><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.tradebrains.in\/stock\/GRSE\/standalone?standalone=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Garden Reach Shipbuilders Ltd<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4><p>The company has entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defence for the construction of four offshore patrol vessels at an estimated cost of over \u20b9 3,500 crores. The first ship is to be delivered within 44 months from March 30, 2023, and the subsequent ships will be delivered\u00a0at six-month intervals from the delivery of the previous ship.
