Apart from higher generation, regulatory approvals of tariff revision and the Union government&#8217;s Late Payment Surcharge (LPS) scheme also boosted revenue collection,&#8221; DVC Chairman Ram Naresh Singh told PTI.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content_5\" id=\"trade-3289400138\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_2_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"7925020301\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>DVC Member Finance Arup Sarkar said billing had risen by about 29 per cent and realisation was higher by 23 per cent in FY\u201923 to Rs 23,413 crore.<\/p><p>The figures are subject to final auditing.<\/p><p>Sarkar said DVC ensured uninterrupted power to the industry in 2022-23 despite input supply chain disruptions.<\/p><p>&#8220;Amid unprecedented demand, we maintained power supply by blending imported coal to ensure seamless power to the country, which was recouping from the Covid pandemic,&#8221; he said.<\/p><p>Elaborating on the company\u2019s performance, Sarkar said the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission had approved its tariff revision for 2017-18 to 2019-20 during 2022-23, and the Jharkhand Electricity Regulatory Commission did the same for 2020-21.<\/p><p>Realisation improved from discoms due to the LPS scheme that restricts power in case of non-payment, he said.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-10\" id=\"trade-3647619562\"><script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- in_content_3_news -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:block\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4023722985638610\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"2969612066\"\r\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\r\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><\/div><p>&#8220;DVC has already commenced production at its Tubed Coal Block in Jharkhand. The dry fuel is expected to be received soon at the company\u2019s power plant, which will help reduce dependence on external coal,&#8221; Sarkar said.<\/p><p>Singh said the Koderma Unit 1 of 500 MW generated uninterrupted power for 393 days, a \u201cmilestone\u201d considering 2 to 4 per cent forced outages are common in thermal power plants.<\/p><p>DVC plans to implement significant capacity addition in renewable energy in the near future, he added.
