This means that fund managers who are eligible can now bring new investment products to the market much faster. The main goal of this change is to reduce the time it takes to get approval and to make things run smoothly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Easier Rules for Large Value Funds (LVFs)<\/strong>: Some of the changes include making it easier for Large Value Funds to operate, these funds are for investors who have a lot of money and are willing to invest it. SEBI has relaxed some of the rules for these funds, which gives them freedom and acknowledges that these investors are sophisticated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Co-Investment Opportunities Within AIFs<\/strong>: Alternative Investment Funds can now also give investors the chance to invest alongside them in projects. This gives investors options and allows them to put more money into investments that fund managers think are promising.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Simplified Reporting and Compliance Framework<\/strong>: SEBI has made it easier for fund managers to report on their activities and to follow the rules. This should make it easier for them to run their funds and reduce the amount of paperwork they have to do, at that time SEBI will still be able to keep an eye on things.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enhanced NAV and Valuation Disclosures<\/strong>: The new rules also mean that Alternative Investment Funds have to be clearer about how they value their assets and calculate their Net Asset Value. This will help investors understand how their money is being used and what it is worth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New Framework for Inoperative Funds<\/strong>: SEBI has allowed AIFs to apply fo<strong>r &#8220;Inoperative Fund&#8221;<\/strong> status for up to <strong>12 months<\/strong>, with the possibility of an extension of another <strong>12 months<\/strong> subject to approval. This provides flexibility to funds facing temporary operational challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flexible Winding-Up and Liquidation Process<\/strong>: The circular also allows liquidation proceeds to be retained in an escrow account for up to <strong>12 months after the expiry of the liquidation period<\/strong>, helping facilitate smoother distributions to investors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stronger PPM Disclosure Requirements<\/strong>: Alternative Investment Funds will now have to give information to investors before they invest.
