Of this amount, <strong>USD 787.73 billion<\/strong> was in the form of <strong>equity flows<\/strong> from FDI. The FDI equity inflows to India have increased by an impressive<strong> 18%<\/strong> from <strong>USD 50.02 billion <\/strong>in FY 2024-25 to <strong>USD 58.85 billion <\/strong>in FY 2025-26.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-singapore-continues-to-lead-fdi-inflows\" style=\"font-size:22px\"><strong>Singapore Continues to Lead FDI Inflows<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore remained India&#8217;s largest source of FDI during FY 2025-26, contributing nearly one-third of total equity inflows, with an estimated total of \u20b91.74 lakh crores (around $19.86 billion) or about <strong>33%<\/strong> of all equity FDI inflows received for the fiscal year FY 2025-26.<\/p><div class=\"trade-in-content\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-3047755317\"><script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\" id=\"AdsCoreLoader101144\" src=\"https:\/\/sads.adsboosters.xyz\/fbda060f29d5b8e8c653abce4ac69b7b.js\"><\/script>\r\n\u00a0<div class=\"ads-core-ads\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The second-largest source of capital, after the USA, was inflows of <strong>\u20b998,012 crores ($11.17 billion) <\/strong>in the 2025-26 fiscal year. Strong inflows from Singapore, the US, Mauritius, Japan and the UAE indicate that global investors continue to view India as a long-term growth market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>USD 58.85 billion worth of FDI equity inflow was received in FY26, a record-high amount.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inflows of FDI equity rose 18% YoY.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Since April 2000, India has been receiving an FDI inflow of USD 1.166 trillion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Singapore continued to be the biggest investor, receiving USD 19.8 billion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The next largest was the U.S. with USD 11.17 billion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The sector that recorded the highest FDI was Computer Software &amp; Hardware with USD 13.95 billion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreign investment to the service sector amounted to more than USD 10 billion in FY26.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bottom-line\" style=\"font-size:22px\"><strong>Bottom line<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into India hit a record of USD 58.85 billion for the fiscal year ending March 2026 indicating that foreign direct investment is one of the major contributors to sustaining continued confidence in the long-term growth potential of India, as well as in that country as an investment destination.
