The operator wishes to charge departing passengers as well as arriving passengers with part of the airport charge. The new fee structure will enable the airport to continue funding for current and future infrastructure upgrades, including a planned <strong>expansion costing \u20b913,975 crore<\/strong>, that will lower the departure fee that passengers pay.<\/p><div class=\"trade-in-content\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-828801934\"><script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\" id=\"AdsCoreLoader101144\" src=\"https:\/\/sads.adsboosters.xyz\/fbda060f29d5b8e8c653abce4ac69b7b.js\"><\/script>\r\n\u00a0<div class=\"ads-core-ads\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-are-ticket-prices-set-to-go-up\" style=\"font-size:22px\"><strong>Are ticket prices set to go up?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposal doesn&#8217;t mean that there will be a significant rise in the cost of air travel in total. Rather, it aims to re-distribute airport costs, reducing the <strong>Airport User Development Fee (UDF)<\/strong> for departing travelers and placing a separate fee for incoming passengers. Whether or not the proposed airfare is approved, the User Development Fee (UDF) will usually be added to the airfare and collected by the airline at the time the ticket is booked. The airline next pays the airport company the amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charge will typically be reflected in the ticket fare breakup (then, as departure charges are currently collected, as a separate line item, like \u201cUDF\u201d or \u201cAirport Charges\u201d).
