Currently, the Purple and Green Lines together operate <strong>57 trainsets<\/strong> across a<strong> 77-km network<\/strong>, while the ideal requirement is around<strong> one train per kilometre<\/strong> to maintain train frequencies of <strong>three to four minutes<\/strong>. With the <strong>21 new trains<\/strong> running on the <strong>Green Line<\/strong>, BMRCL aims to gradually<strong> move 17 existing<\/strong> BEML trainsets from <strong>Green Line to the Purple Line,<\/strong> which is the busiest line in the Namma Metro network.
