The New Rental Laws 2025 also known as the Home Rent Rules 2025 aim to transform the rental housing system by bringing transparency and legal protection to millions of tenants and landlords across the country. Mandatory Digital &amp; Registered Rental Agreements<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the biggest shifts in 2025 is the end of informal or handwritten tenancy agreements. According to the new rule,&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-in-content\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2048736324\"><script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\" id=\"AdsCoreLoader101144\" src=\"https:\/\/sads.adsboosters.xyz\/fbda060f29d5b8e8c653abce4ac69b7b.js\"><\/script>\r\n\u00a0<div class=\"ads-core-ads\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rental agreements must be digitally stamped and registered either online or at the sub registrar office.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agreement must be registered within 60 days, if failed then there will be monetary penalties Rs.5000 will be imposed based on the state.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This strengthens proper documentation, legal enforceability and clear protection of tenure rent and eviction between landlord and tenant.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-security-deposit-cap\"><strong>2. Security Deposit Cap<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, tenants in metro cities were often forced to pay 6-10 months rent as a deposit. Under New Rent Law&nbsp;<\/p><div class=\"trade-content\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-1932479495\"><div translate=\"no\" class='mailmunch-forms-widget-1169732'><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The security deposits are capped at 2 months rent for residential properties. And 6 months for commercial properties.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This reduces the initial financial burden on students, working professionals and relocating families.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-digital-rent-payments-for-transparency\"><strong>3.
