Andhra Pradesh Greenfield Refinery &amp; Petrochemical Complex<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the biggest forthcoming government project in India at <strong>Ramayapatnam, Nellore <\/strong>district, Andhra Pradesh. The project, which is being developed by BPCL, has an investment of<strong> \u20b91,03,000 crore <\/strong>and is likely to be up and running by <strong>2029-30.<\/strong><\/p><div class=\"trade-in-content\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-2234090150\"><script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\" id=\"AdsCoreLoader101144\" src=\"https:\/\/sads.adsboosters.xyz\/fbda060f29d5b8e8c653abce4ac69b7b.js\"><\/script>\r\n\u00a0<div class=\"ads-core-ads\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will consist of a <strong>12 MMTPA refinery <\/strong>with an ethylene cracker of <strong>1.5 MMTPA<\/strong> and an integrated petrochemical complex with capacity of processing an average of<strong> 240,000 barrels per day <\/strong>of crude oil. HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL), Rajasthan<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) project is India&#8217;s second largest government-backed energy project located in <strong>Pachpadra of Barmer district <\/strong>in the state of <strong>Rajasthan <\/strong>with a revised investment of <strong>\u20b979,459 crore.<\/strong> The project is in the last stage and is anticipated to commercialize in 2025-26.<\/p><div class=\"trade-content-2\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-3966167686\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/tradebrains.in\/get\/voltmoney\/\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" aria-label=\"LAMF3 300_250 (1)\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tradebrains-wp.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com\/money\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/LAMF3-300_250-1.png\" alt=\"\"  width=\"300\" height=\"250\"   \/><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The integrated complex is made up of a refinery with a capacity of <strong>9 MMTPA<\/strong> and a petrochemical plant whose capacity is <strong>2.4 MMTPA<\/strong>. It can process up to <strong>180,000 bpd <\/strong>of crude oil and will generate petrol, diesel, LPG, aviation fuel, polypropylene and other petrochemicals that are used in plastics, textiles and packaging industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project covered an area of almost <strong>4,800 acres<\/strong> and at its peak had more than 43,000 workers working on the site, which was one of the largest industrial work sites in India. Bina Refinery Petrochemical &amp; Ethylene Cracker Expansion, Madhya Pradesh<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is one of the largest investments in the field of petroleum chemicals in India and has a project cost of <strong>\u20b949,000 crore<\/strong>, located at <strong>Bina in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh. <\/strong>BPCL is expanding it and it is expected to be completed by 2028. The project will be a large-scale integrated refining and petrochemical complex based on the existing Bina Refinery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of the project is a <strong>1.2 MMTPA <\/strong>ethylene cracker, which will be followed by downstream petrochemical facilities where products made will be used for plastics, packaging, textile, pharmaceutical and consumer goods. The capacity of the refinery is also being expanded to <strong>11 MMTPA from 7.8 MMTPA<\/strong>, which will make a substantial impact on fuel production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will create thousands of job opportunities throughout its construction and operation and will help to boost the petrochemical manufacturing capacity in India. Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project is in Assam<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one of the biggest energy projects in <strong>North East India<\/strong> with an investment of <strong>\u20b928,026 crore,<\/strong> located at <strong>Numaligarh in the district of Golaghat,<\/strong> <strong>Assam<\/strong>. It is under the development of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and will be commissioned in <strong>2025-26.<\/strong> The expansion is expected to add a substantial amount of refining capacity and enhance fuel supplies in eastern and north-eastern India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A major component of the project is the increase in the refinery&#8217;s capacity from <strong>3 MMTPA to 9 MMTPA, a 3-fold increase.<\/strong> The project also involves the construction of a <strong>1,640 km crude oil pipeline <\/strong>connecting Paradip and Numaligarh that will secure crude oil supply to the refineries. Paradip Integrated Refinery &amp; Petrochemical Complex located in Odisha.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Indian Oil Corporation&#8217;s biggest energy investment in India, and the largest investment in the petrochemical sector, is this plant at Paradip in the Jagatsinghpur district in Odisha with an approved investment of <strong>\u20b961,077 crore.<\/strong> The project was sanctioned in 2025 and is planned to be seamlessly integrated into the existing <strong>15 MMTPA Paradip Refinery,<\/strong> contributing to the development of a significant east coast refining and petrochemical complex in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main feature of the project is a <strong>1.5 MMTPA<\/strong> dual feed cracker plant with some downstream petrochemical plants. The complex will eventually be capable of generating more than <strong>4 million tonnes <\/strong>of petrochemical products per year, such as plastics, packaging, textiles, pharmaceuticals and automotive components. The project will contribute to the growth of India&#8217;s domestic petrochemicals production capacity and cut down import dependence in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is expected that the development will generate <strong>approximately 67,000 direct and indirect jobs <\/strong>and encourage industries to the region downstream. Ratnagiri Refinery &amp; Petrochemical Project (West Coast Refinery), Maharashtra<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ratnagiri Refinery &amp; Petrochemical Project is India&#8217;s largest (proposed) private-sector energy project, valued at an estimated cost of <strong>\u20b93 lakh crore (US$44 billion)<\/strong>, located in <strong>Ratnagiri, Maharashtra<\/strong> on the Konkan coast of India. The project is slated for development as West Coast Refinery as part of a consortium of Indian oil companies and foreign partners. It would be one of the largest refining and petrochemical complexes in the world if built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is envisaged to refine <strong>60 MMTPA<\/strong> which translates to nearly <strong>1.2 million <\/strong>barrels per day crude oil processing capacity, which is nearly five times the capacity of several existing Indian refineries. In addition to fuel, the integrated petrochemical complex will also produce high value chemicals and feedstocks for plastics, textiles, packaging and industrial manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the project has been delayed, and is still in the planning stage, due to land acquisition and environmental issues. Reliance Jamnagar Refinery &amp; Petrochemical Expansion<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Reliance expansion project is one of the biggest private energy projects in India with an estimated investment of <strong>\u20b975,000 crore <\/strong>which is located at <strong>Jamnagar, Gujarat. <\/strong>Reliance Industries Limited has undertaken the project to be involved in petrochemical production expansion, specialty chemicals, integration of renewable energy and value added downstream products at the world&#8217;s largest refining complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The existing capacity of Jamnagar complex is already <strong>68.2 MMTPA <\/strong>which translates to about <strong>1.4 million barrels of crude oil per day.<\/strong> The new addition focuses on the integration of petrochemicals and the manufacture of more valuable chemicals for plastics, textile, packaging and automotive parts and consumer products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the expansion, India will strengthen its position of being a global exporter of refined petroleum products and petrochemicals and also make the Jamnagar complex more competitive.
