Each line will play a unique role in the city, but there will be a number of intersections and transfer points to ensure the city&#8217;s movement between large residential, commercial, and employment hubs is smooth and efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-blue-line\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Blue Line<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the major metro projects of Bengaluru is the Blue Line also known as ORR\u2013Airport Metro Corridor. The <strong>58.2 km long tunnel <\/strong>will run from <strong>Central Silk Board<\/strong> <strong>to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA)<\/strong> via KR Puram and will be one of the longest metro lines in Bengaluru. Along the Bannerghatta Road, more mixed use developments, redevelopment and retail use are likely at the corridor level.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jayadeva\u2013Dairy Circle Urban Hub<\/strong>: The interchange capacity of Pink Line at Jayadeva Hospital and its close proximity to Dairy Circle is likely to create a major transit oriented development concept. Better access can be conducive to commercial uses, offices and higher density residential uses.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CBD and Cantonment Belt<\/strong>: The line is also expected to improve the connectivity between MG Road, Shivajinagar and Cantonment in South Bengaluru.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nagawara\u2013Manyata Tech Park Region<\/strong>: The northern end of the corridor will see substantial improvement on account of its close vicinity to Manyata Tech Park and Outer Ring Road business district.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-red-line\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Red Line<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most ambitious metro projects in the future will be the Red Line, which is proposed to <strong>connect Hebbal to Sarjapur.<\/strong> The corridor is projected to stretch around <strong>36.6 km<\/strong> and act as a vital corridor between the various residential areas, business hubs and IT hubs in the city.\u00a0Key growth corridors along the Red Line<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hebbal\u2013Nagawara Growth Belt<\/strong>: The line has the potential to kick-start the demand for premium housing, mixed uses and office spaces and further establish North Bengaluru as an investment area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>KR Puram\u2013Mahadevapura Technology Corridor<\/strong>: This additional transit connectivity may provide further opportunities for commercial growth, office occupancy, and continued residential demand in surrounding micro-markets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bellandur\u2013HSR Layout Corridor<\/strong>: It is expected that the metro will lessen the reliance on the overloaded network of Outer Ring Roads, providing better connectivity between employment hubs and residential areas.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sarjapur Road Residential Hub<\/strong>: Enhanced connectivity to the north and east of Bengaluru may spur new housing developments, commercial projects and TODs along the corridor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-grey-line\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Grey Line<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed Grey Line <strong>(Hosahalli\u2013Kadabagere Corridor) <\/strong>will be a part of Namma Metro Phase III and will be used to boost connectivity between the western parts of Bengaluru. It is about<strong> 44.65 km long<\/strong> and will be one of the longest metro lines in the city that will pass by established and emerging residential corridors. Key growth corridors along the Orange Line<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Peenya Industrial Corridor<\/strong>: The region of one of Asia&#8217;s biggest industrial hubs, Peenya, will be greatly improved by better mobility and connectivity for their workforces. Improved metro connectivity can help to facilitate industrial growth, business activity, and create complementary housing projects around the jobs center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Magadi Road\u2013Sumanahalli Belt<\/strong>: Unlike the central Bengaluru area, land availability is relatively high in the Magadi Road corridor, which is expected to spur growth along the Orange Line corridor.
