Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) \u2013 \u20b918,600 Crore Mega Investment&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T) has signed a <strong>\u20b918,600 crore<\/strong> MOM with the Government of Tamil Nadu in <strong>June 2026.<\/strong> The investment is Structured into three projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The biggest chunk, <strong>approximately \u20b915,000 crore<\/strong>, goes into a hyperscale data centre project in Kancheepuram to be used for cloud computing, AI workloads and big data storage infrastructure.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The second part,<strong> around \u20b92,500 crore<\/strong>, will go towards an electronics manufacturing plant in <strong>Coimbatore<\/strong> dedicated to manufacturing export electronics and precision components, as well as industrial electronics.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The remaining <strong>\u20b91,100 crore will be allocated <\/strong>to the expansion of the shipyard at <strong>L&amp;T at Kattupalli in Tiruvallur district<\/strong>, to bolster marine engineering, offshore fabrication and shipbuilding capacities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These three projects together are likely to create <strong>8200 jobs <\/strong>in the fields of engineering, manufacturing and skilled technical jobs, which is one of the largest diversified industrial investment pledges in Tamil Nadu in the recent growth cycle.<\/p><div class=\"trade-in-content\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\" id=\"trade-680480835\"><script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\" id=\"AdsCoreLoader101144\" src=\"https:\/\/sads.adsboosters.xyz\/fbda060f29d5b8e8c653abce4ac69b7b.js\"><\/script>\r\n\u00a0<div class=\"ads-core-ads\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-minebeamitsumi-japan-1-980-crore-semiconductor-expansion-nbsp\" style=\"font-size:22px\"><strong>2. MinebeaMitsumi (Japan) \u2013 \u20b91,980 Crore Semiconductor Expansion&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2026, MinebeaMitsumi (Japan) announced plans to <strong>invest \u20b91,980 crore<\/strong> in Tamil Nadu for an expansion of semiconductor and advanced precision manufacturing. This project will consist of setting up a semiconductor and precision <strong>component manufacturing <\/strong>plant in <strong>Tiruvallur district<\/strong> and a separate R&amp;D center for high-value electronic systems.&nbsp;The plant will manufacture advanced components like Integrated <strong>Gate Switch (IGBT) modules, power electronics for EVs, motors, sensors<\/strong>, and other specialty power electronics for industrial automation and renewable energy systems. Aequs Group \u2013 \u20b94,000 Crore Aerospace Manufacturing Expansion&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aequs Group will invest <strong>\u20b94,000 crore <\/strong>in Tamil Nadu for <strong>aerospace and defence <\/strong>manufacturing expansion in February, 2026. <strong>SIPCOT Shoolagiri Industrial Park in Krishnagiri district (Hosur region) <\/strong>is the location of the project, the goal of which is to develop a dedicated aerospace manufacturing cluster.&nbsp;The site will manufacture aircraft engine assemblies, <strong>gearbox systems and structural assemblies for the aerospace and defence industry<\/strong>. The investment comes in a combined package of investment of <strong>\u20b95,980 crore<\/strong>, announced with MinebeaMitsumi in the same MOU cycle.&nbsp;The project will create around <strong>7,000 jobs <\/strong>and will be part of export-oriented <strong>aerospace supply chains for global OEM integration<\/strong> and manufacturing of precision engineering products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-tamil-nadu-cabinet-approved-projects-34-237-crore-nbsp\" style=\"font-size:22px\"><strong>4. Tamil Nadu Cabinet Approved Projects \u2013 \u20b934,237 Crore&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The investment proposals of<strong> \u20b934,237 crore <\/strong>have been approved by the <strong>Tamil Nadu Cabinet for 15 investment projects in February 2026.<\/strong> The approvals cover <strong>electronics manufacturing, automotive parts manufacturing, aerospace and defence manufacturing, and industrial infrastructure projects<\/strong>.&nbsp;The investment package is spread in various industrial clusters in <strong>select locations of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Ranipet and Hosur belts<\/strong>.&nbsp;The projects are expected to create about <strong>55,000 direct jobs<\/strong> and are expected to be export-oriented, with high-value industrial output and production.
