Baiyappanahalli\u2013Hosur Rail Doubling Project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mode: <\/strong>Rail Lines Doubling Project&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Constructed by:<\/strong> Developed by K-RIDE to ease rail congestion, offer connectivity to commuters and improve movement of freight and passengers between Bengaluru and Hosur.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Project length:<\/strong> 48 route kilometres&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Project scope: <\/strong>Double track existing single railway line.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Connectivity: <\/strong>it has a link connecting Bengaluru (Karnataka) with Hosur (Tamilnadu).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The key stations\/areas<\/strong> covered are Baiyappanahalli, Bellandur Road, Carmelaram, Heelalige, Huskur and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Current Status<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overall project progress has reached <strong>86% completion<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>14-km section between Heelalige and Bellandur Road<\/strong> has already been commissioned and is operational.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>3.522-km Bellandur Road\u2013Carmelaram section<\/strong> along with the new <strong>Huskur station yard<\/strong> was commissioned in November.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Expected Completion: <\/strong>February 2027<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Station Upgrades<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bellandur Road station has been expanded to <strong>five railway lines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of <strong>two 600-metre-long high-level platforms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Construction of a <strong>G+1 station building<\/strong> with a built-up area of <strong>672 sq. m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-yeshwanthpur-channasandra-rail-doubling-project\" style=\"font-size:22px\"><strong>2.
