Australia made it two wins in a row, beating India by two wickets in the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval to wrap up the three-match series 2–0. The hosts were once again the better team on the day, showing great balance with both bat and ball.

After winning the toss, Australia chose to bowl first and their plan worked right away. The fast bowlers found early movement, putting India under pressure from the start. Though Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer tried to steady things in the middle overs, India never really got going. They ended with 264 for 9 from 50 overs, a score that felt a bit short on a good batting surface.

Rohit looked in fine touch, top-scoring with 73 from 97 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. Iyer added a solid 61 off 77 deliveries, but apart from them, India’s batting lineup struggled to build partnerships. Virat Kohli’s tough run continued as he was dismissed for another duck, his second in a row leaving fans disappointed.

Adam Zampa once again proved his worth, taking four wickets and breaking key stands in the middle overs. Young pacer Xavier Bartlett also impressed with three important wickets. Together, they never allowed India’s run rate to rise and kept things tight throughout.

Chasing 265, Australia looked in control for most of the innings. Their top order played calmly, rotated the strike well, and punished any loose balls. India managed to take a few wickets midway, but the Aussies stayed composed and reached the target with 22 balls to spare, finishing at 265 for 8 in 46.2 overs.

The Adelaide crowd saw another strong performance from the home side, who were sharp in every area: batting, bowling, and fielding. For India, it was another frustrating night where they couldn’t make the most of key moments. Their batting lacked depth, and the bowlers couldn’t build pressure for long spells.

With the series already decided, India will now look to play for pride in the final ODI and avoid a clean sweep before heading into the next leg of their tour.
