Eden Hazard, the former Belgium winger will be inducted with the Premier League Hall of Fame for his overall brilliance with the two-title winning club with Chelsea, becoming the 26th recipient of the highest individual honour awarded by the League on Wednesday.
Hazard was involved in 139 goals in his seven years with the Blues. He won the Champions League with Chelsea twice and was crowned as the league’s Player of the Season in 2014-2015 and was also the clubs Player of the Season four times out of his seven years stay with the club.
Hazard gets inducted for the Hall of Fame along with Gary Neville as the two players join the Hall of Fame along with the 24 existing members. These include legends like Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsen Wenger, José Mourinho and other players like Paul Scholes, Vincent Kompany and Didier Drogba.
What does the “Hall of Fame” mean in the Premier League?
The Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates the individuals who have an exceptional record of success and their significant contributions to the clubs during their time of prime since its inception in 1992. The managers and players must be retired from football for them to be eligible for the induction.
There are currently 26 members in the Hall of Fame. The body was formed in 2021 to recognise and celebrate the achievement of players and managers who made significant contributions to the Premier League since it was formed in 1992.

What are the criteria to be in the “Hall of Fame”?
To be eligible for the Premier League Hall of Fame, the player must be retired from all leagues before the awarding season. Only their Premier League status is considered for the award. To be qualified for the Hall of Fame, the player should have made more than 200 appearances for a club, been selected to any of the Teams of the Decade, won the Golden Boot or the Golden Glove and won three titles.
