AUS vs IND 2nd T20 Scorecrad:

Indians, who were asked to bat first, were found struggling at the start against a well-disciplined Australian bowling attack. The top order was quickly dismissed as the new ball swung very sharply under the lights. Abhishek Sharma, however, was not among the victims and played a superb innings of 68 off just 37 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. But, as the rest of the batsmen were not offering much support, India was all out for 125 in 18.4 overs, which was a total that seemed quite insufficient considering the excellent batting conditions.

Josh Hazlewood (3/13) and Nathan Ellis (2/21) were the best bowlers and executed their plans to perfection for Australia. The two bowlers kept their lengths tight and cleverly changed speeds, never letting the Indian batsmen get comfortable.

Australia responded with a fast start. Captain Mitchell Marsh set the pace with a 46 off 26 balls, hitting fours and sixes. Although the Australian innings experienced some problems in the middle, they never looked like losing the game. They completed the chase in just 13.2 overs, scoring 126 for 6 and winning easily to take the lead in the series.

India’s bowling was ineffective and inconsistent. No bowler was able to create pressure or take wickets at the moment they were most needed. The side’s failure to protect a small total is bound to cause concern among the management before the next match in Bellerive Oval. With the series now at 1-0 in favor of Australia, India will be eager to make a strong comeback in the next match.
