The Las Vegas Strip Circuit is one of F1’s newest and most dramatic street tracks. It runs through the heart of Las Vegas, including a long, flat-out blast down the famous Strip. With high speeds, heavy braking zones, and smooth tarmac, the circuit rewards strong straight-line performance and stable braking.

Key Sections

1. Turn 1 Hairpin: A tight left-hand corner at the end of the main straight. It is one of the most popular spots for overtaking, especially at the start of the race.

2. The Strip Straight: The most famous part of the track, a long 1.9 km full-throttle straight where cars can hit more than 340 km/h. With DRS available here, this section plays a big role in overtakes.

3. High-Speed Sweeping Section (Turns 7-12): A fast, flowing set of corners that challenges the car’s balance and grip while keeping drivers on the limit.

4. Heavy Braking Zone at Turn 14: After reaching very high speeds, drivers brake hard into this corner. It creates another strong chance for overtaking.

Unlike most street circuits, the Las Vegas track is smooth, wide, and offers plenty of space, which helps drivers race side-by-side more easily.

What Makes the Las Vegas Grand Prix Special

The Las Vegas Grand Prix stands out because of its night-race atmosphere, bright city lights, and extreme top speeds that rival Monza. The long straights allow close racing, slipstreaming, and dramatic late-braking moves.

Because the race starts late at night in cool desert temperatures, tyre warm-up becomes a major challenge. This often leads to unpredictable strategies, safety cars, and sudden changes in race order.

Weather Forecast

Since all track action in Las Vegas happens at night, the Nevada desert will have cooler conditions. Both qualifying and the race start at 8:00 PM local time, with temperatures

expected to be around 12°C, light winds, and only a small chance of rain. Cold track temperatures often cause tyre graining and unpredictable performance.
