Kane Williamson and Nathan Smith have made their way back into the New Zealand squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England. The series begins on October 26 at the Bay Oval in Tauranga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williamson Set for Return at Home<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

After missing the T20I series due to a minor medical issue, Kane Williamson is ready to make his return at his home ground in Christchurch.
The 35-year-old star batter has had a busy few months, working as Lucknow Super Giants\u2019 strategic advisor in the IPL and featuring in county cricket and The Hundred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though he was not included in New Zealand\u2019s central contract list earlier this year, his comeback now comes as a major boost for the Black Caps. With his experience and leadership, Kane is expected to continue playing a key role for New Zealand, possibly till the 2027 World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong Squad Announced for England Series<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Williamson last represented New Zealand during the Champions Trophy final in Dubai earlier this year. Alongside him, Nathan Smith, the 27-year-old all-rounder, returns after recovering from an abdominal injury he suffered in the first Test against Zimbabwe in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitchell Santner will lead the side after recovering from his own abdominal issue, while Tom Latham returns following a shoulder injury that kept him out of the Zimbabwe series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Kiwis still have a few fitness concerns with Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson, Adam Milne, Will O\u2019Rourke, Glenn Phillips, and Ben Sears all unavailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To balance the squad, Zak Foulkes, a promising seam-bowling all-rounder from Canterbury, has been added. He joins experienced names like Michael Bracewell, Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway, Mark Chapman, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Daryl Mitchell, and Will Young.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
